Hotel terraces are one of the best options if you want to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing time while contemplating the best views of Malaga.

Most of them are located in the city centre, allowing you to see the Cathedral, the Alcazaba, the Castle of Gibralfaro or the Port of Malaga from the heights.

Some of the hotels, hostels or tourist flats in this area have set them up for the enjoyment of anyone who wants to go and contemplate the views. Each one has its own charm, decoration and atmosphere, which is why I recommend that you visit as many as possible, so you can choose the one you like best.

Although there are many hotel terraces in Malaga, I am going to show you the 5 best ones:

1. MÁLAGA PALACIO TERRACE

The AC Malaga Palacio Hotel is, without a doubt, one of the best known hotels in Malaga, and where most events are held during the year, such as the Malaga Film Festival, where many of the artists stay.

It has one of the best hotel terraces in Malaga, both for its location, size and views. It is also the highest, so you can see better Malaga from all angles.

Malaga Palacio Terrace-Hotel Terraces

This terrace, which undoubtedly has one of the best views of Malaga. It also has a swimming pool, although it is only for the use of its guests.

It has a more exclusive atmosphere, compared to others that we will mention below, so if you feel like having a relaxing drink with the best views, you have to visit it.

Calle Cortina del Muelle, 1
Sunday to Wednesday: 12:30 – 00:00
Thursday to Saturday: 12:30 – 02:00

2. DE LA ALCAZABA TERRACE

This terrace located in the Alcazaba Premium Hotel is another one you can’t miss, because it has everything you are looking for.

Located in Calle Alcazabilla, you can see from the heights the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba and the Gibralfaro Castle just a few metres away.

Malaga Terraces-La Alcazaba Terrace

You can enjoy this terrace with a drink during the day in a more relaxed way or visit it at night where you will find a more party atmosphere, the perfect start before going out to the clubs and discotheques.

Also on the floor just below is the Batik restaurant, where you can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of everything from around the world. Of course, you’ll have to book in advance.

Calle Alcazabilla, 12
Monday to Thursday: 15:00 – 00:00
Friday to Sunday: 15:00 – 02:00

3. VALERIA TERRACE

This is one of the most exclusive hotel terraces in Malaga. It is located on the top floor of the Room Mate Valeria Hotel.

It has the best views of the Port of Malaga, Muelle Uno, and the Farola, as it is just a few metres away.

Valeria Terrace-Malaka Turismo

Like the one at the Hotel AC Málaga Palacio, it also has a swimming pool, but for the exclusive use of its guests.

It is perfect for relaxing and contemplating the incredible views. You can find different types of atmospheres depending on the time of day you go, but what is certain is that you will enjoy it.

Plaza del Poeta Alfonso Canales, 5
Monday to Sunday: 11:00 – 00:00

4. CHINITAS TERRACE

Each of the hotel terraces has its own charm, atmosphere, type of music and different views that make them different from each other.

The Chinitas terrace, located in the Chinitas Urban Hostel is a clear example of wanting to repeat the experience, because it has something special that makes you come back.

Chinitas Terrace-Malaka Turismo

It has two small terraces, but with the charm of being able to see the cathedral right in front of it. It would be difficult to see it in this way anywhere else.

As in the other hotel terraces, you can choose from a wide variety of cocktails and drinks from leading brands.

Pasaje Chinitas, 3
Monday to Wednesday: 17:00 – 00:00
Thursday to Sunday: 16:00 – 00:00

5. SAN JUAN TERRACE

It is located in the Boutique Hotel Malaga Premium, and it is one of the best terraces to enjoy a chillout atmosphere in Malaga.

It is a large terrace where you can also see much of the historic centre of Malaga, including the Cathedral and the Church of San Juan, which is just opposite.

San Juan Terrace-Hotels Terraces

It is very cosy because of the space available and the different areas it has, which allow you to have your own space and enjoy with your family and friends.

Calle San Juan, 12
Monday to Wednesday: 15:00 – 01:00
Thursday: 15:00 – 02:00
