If we talk about the styles of food that have undergone the greatest transformation, hamburgers would be among the first, because they have gone from being considered fast food to being authentic delicacies with high quality products, so I dedicate this post to discover the best places to eat hamburgers in Malaga.
As I said before, hamburgers have always been considered fast food, they have been questioned because of the quality of their meat, especially in big franchises that everybody knows and that were a real monopoly, leaving the neighbourhood hamburger restaurants in the background.
But all this has changed, and as with other dishes such as Russian salads for example, people are not satisfied with just eating a hamburger, we are looking for the best, one that surprises us.
Malaga is a strategic location for the gastronomy sector, as it is one of the largest cities in Spain and because of the number of tourists that visit it throughout the year. For this reason, both national and international companies have settled in Malaga to attract this large public.
The concept of the hamburger has changed radically, now we are looking for creativity, using quality products that give it a different flavour and that is identifiable. For all this I want to tell you the 5 best places to eat burgers in Malaga, and above all recommendations that you can not miss:
TORO BURGER LOUNGE
First of all I want to tell you about this place because it won the prize for the best cheesburger in Spain and the best hamburger in Andalusia in the first edition of the Spanish Hamburger Championship.
This restaurant located in Marbella, plans to expand and open one in the same town and another in Madrid. At Toro Burger you will find more than 15 different hamburgers that you won’t find in any other burger restaurant you’ve ever visited, and in some of his creations he uses products from Brazil, his land of origin.
So that you don’t think again and go to this restaurant, I’ve included the ingredients of the Maya burger, the award-winning burger (photo left): brioche bun, baconnaise (smoked bacon mayonnaise), 150 grams of meat, double toasted bacon, homemade creamcheese, caramelised onion and double cheddar melted in the beer vapour.
In addition to this burger, another of the most successful is the Toro double burger (pictured right), although if you want to enjoy something different, I recommend the Tokyo or the Jamaica.

LA CALLE BURGER
This restaurant company was born almost ten years ago in Malaga and already has eight restaurants in our city, two in Seville and one in Tarifa. It is undoubtedly one of the best places to eat hamburgers in Malaga for its top quality products and its preparation.
They have their own factory in Malaga where they select the best pieces of meat, where they prepare them in a traditional way as well as their sauces, breads and garnishes to give an authentic flavour to all their dishes.
La Calle Burger has a fairly extensive menu that allows you to choose from a variety of options, whether it’s burgers with a choice of beef, pork or chicken, or two creative veggie options. They also have starters, salads, sandwiches and a lunch menu with a small discount.
It’s difficult to say which of the burgers is the best, but in my opinion the beef burgers are the best. You can choose between the beef patty, the entraña, the angus beef and the double entrecote. As you can see, they are the best parts of the veal.

CARL´S JR
It is one of the empires of this type of food worldwide, with more than 4,000 establishments in more than 40 countries, and in Spain alone there are 17 restaurants of this firm.
Carl’s Jr started in the 1940s in California. What started out as a hot dog shop evolved into a hot dog joint and expanded outside of California within a few years. They were the first to grill hamburgers and one of the first to offer a card payment system.
We can say that the secret of its success lies in the flavour of the meat, in having a varied menu with different types of hamburgers and, why not, in offering varieties that others don’t, such as milkshakes or beers served in bottles.
You have many options to choose from, but without a doubt you have to try, at least once, the Original Big Angus, with 100% Angus beef, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayonnaise, which is their star burger, as well as some of their natural strawberry, chocolate or vanilla ice cream milkshakes.

LA BURGUESITA
In this list of places to eat hamburgers in Malaga we could not miss this gourmet restaurant located in one of the most touristic streets in the centre of Malaga.
In this place, which is not very large either, you will always find it full and people waiting for an empty table, because the quality and variety is outstanding. It’s not your typical burger joint, but a gourmet restaurant that stands out from everything you’ve seen before.
The success of La Burguesita lies in the quality of its meats, some of which are very exclusive, such as the 100% bull burger or the authentic beef burgers, as we know that in many places what they say is beef is old veal. You will have the option to choose the size of your burger, 100 or 200gr, and to drink a wide variety of soft drinks and wines with denomination of origin.
If you like your meat medium-rare, I recommend the 6th Anniversary beef burger with kinchee mayonnaise, black salt petals, coriander and lime. You can also choose from beef, pork and veggie. This restaurant does not serve fries with the burgers, or any other side dishes.

GOTTAN GRILL GOURMET
It is more than a hamburger restaurant, they wanted to take a step forward in their gourmet concept and offer a wide variety of hamburgers, starters and salads on their menu.
In Gottan Grill you have many options to have a unique experience. They wanted to stand out from the rest of the burger bars in Malaga and offer customers a variety of exquisite meat and the option for users to assemble the burger to their liking.
You can choose from different types of meat such as Spanish beef (Galician cow and Galician blonde), Nebraska black angus, Wagyu (considered the best meat in the world), Iberian pork, chicken and vegetable. But if you want to go a step further, you can try the exotic hamburger, with wild breed meat.
In addition to the burgers, you can choose from a wide variety of starters and charcoal-grilled meats such as entrecôte, sirloin steak or ribs. Among the selection of burgers on offer, there are two that I really like: the Maroma burger and the Renacida burger.
